Free Prenatal Education
The following classes are FREE to mothers
delivering at Deaconess Hospital.
Labor of Love
Second Saturday of Every Month
9:00 am—1:30 pm
An interactive, one day class that covers breathing/
relaxation, labor, delivery, pain management, and
postpartum care. Please bring a pillow for comfort.
All classes are taught by registered nurses who work
in the Deaconess Birth Center.
Best Start Breastfeeding
First Monday of Every Month
6:30 pm—8:30 pm
This class covers the advantages of breastfeeding,
breastfeeding positions, expression and storage of
breast milk, and tips on returning to work. This class
is taught by a Certified Lactation Consultant.

One-on-One Prenatal Education
Individualized Course Offerings
$35 fee
The personalized prenatal classes are an interactive,
2 hour session that covers all aspects of labor,
delivery and postpartum care. All classes are taught
by registered nurses who work in the
Deaconess Birth Center.
